Annegret Kessler is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDES) who sees patients for medical nutrition therapy visits.<\/p>\n\n\n
Annegret received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Fontbonne University in St Louis MO. Completed an eleven-month internship program at Mayo Medical Center, Rochester MN in 1986. She became a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist in 2001.<\/p>\n\n\n
Annegret began her career as the Food Service Director and first full time dietitian at Vail Valley Medical Center in 1985. Annegret’s experience in the field of nutrition has expanded for over 35 years; encompassing nutritional counseling for a variety of diagnoses, both in the inpatient and outpatient setting. Annegret was the Coordinator of the American Diabetes Association Recognized Program\/Outpatient Nutrition programs at St Mary’s Hospital Regional Medical Center and Community Hospital in Grand Junction. Annegret also worked as a renal dietitian for Davita Dialysis and Fresenius Kidney Care. Annegret assisted in the development of a Weight Loss Surgery Program at St Mary’s and Community Hospital and has conducted programs and classes including group weight loss programs, post bariatric surgery nutrition classes, 8-week series diabetes classes, a monthly diabetes support group and community cooking classes.<\/p>","protected":false},"featured_media":789,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"tags":[],"staff-specialties":[57],"class_list":["post-788","staff","type-staff","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","staff-specialties-endocrinology"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
